One year ago today

you were taken away

by incompetence

and negligence

in such a brutal way.

They carry on

without a care,

no accountability to bear.

Protected by our government

the injustice is so unfair.

We are filled by constant

tears and devastation.

Time will never  heal.

the pain they have

forced upon us

and are continually

destined to feel.

Forever missed and loved by his mother, Mary‑Lou Patey (nee Walsh) and her husband Bert Charlton, and father, Alvin Patey and his wife Valerie, brothers: Jeremy and Kamiel, sisters: Lindsay and Kara Leigh, nieces: Lilly‑Ann and Sienna, nephew; Andrew, grandmother Betty Walsh, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
